On 26 June 2026, 27 graduates received their certificates at a formal ceremony. VLB Managing Director Dr Björn Ch. Klotzbücher praised the participants’ achievements and thanked everyone involved for their great commitment and hard work.
A total of 274 brewing experts from 36 countries in Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas attended the ninth Bangkok Brewing Conference, which took place June 8–10, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand.

The packaging testing centre at the Research and Teaching Institute for Brewing in Berlin (VLB) has been under new management since July this year. Florian Heukäufer has taken over as laboratory manager, succeeding Susan Dobrick, who left the VLB at her own request.
