Service/Biological Laboratory

  • Our Biological Laboratory offers microbiological services and research for the brewing and beverage industry:
  • Microbiological analyses (classical and molecular biological methods)
  • Species-specific identification of bacterial and fungal contaminants
  • Delivery of pure culture yeasts from the VLB's own yeast bank
  • Production and new development of culture media for microbiology
  • PCR analyses for (quantitative) detection of harmful and cultured organisms
  • Determination of the general state of hygiene as part of operational control
  • Microbiological training in the company or in the Biological Laboratory of the VLB

Accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 for the test procedures specified in the appendix to the accreditation certificate.
