The 1st VLB International Craft Brewing Conference (ICBO) is an online conference for worldwide participants of the craft brewing sector and will take place from 27 to 29 April 2021 on VLB Virtual Campus.
For the first time in digital format, VLB organizes a conference dedicated exclusively to the craft beer sector. This will allow you to participate from the comfort and safety of your home or workplace, regardless of where you are located in the world.
As in all VLB events, current and interesting topics will be covered, starting from raw materials, going through the production process, including aspects of packaging, logistics and transport. We will have an outstanding panel of speakers from VLB as well as guests from the craft brewing sector and the supplier of equipment and raw materials.
You will have the opportunity to interact with other participants in the VLB Virtual Campus, also during the virtual exhibition.

Auf Grund der damaligen Pandemieentwicklung wurde die Frühjahrssitzung unseres Technisch-Wissenschaftlichen Ausschusses (TWA) als Präsenzveranstaltung vom 21. März auf den 11. Mai 2022 verschoben.

After a very successful kick-off event in 2019 at the VLB and a continuation, the VLB Virtual Campus in spring 2021, we are again in the planning for 2022 with a face-to-face event for the 3rd SAFB here at the VLB Berlin to this ongoing topic.
Through a program of selected experts and representatives from science, industry and regulators, the international participants are to be brought up to date with the latest research and relevant aspects of sour fermented non-alcoholic beverages.
We look forward to being able to offer you (under the necessary hygiene rules) a 2-day event with informative lectures, an interesting trade exhibition, a sociable evening event, various drinks and above all an intensive exchange.
The number of participants is limited to 120 (depending on the time of registration; first come, first served!)
SAFB participants have the opportunity to receive a practical introduction to the application of flow cytometric methods for quality assurance in beverage production. This workshop, organized in cooperation with Sysmex Deutschland GmbH, will take place on the afternoon of Monday, May 23rd and is free of charge for participants of the SAFB.

Pandemiebedingt musste "Sauer macht lustig - 2. Symposium fermentierte alkoholfreie Getränke", das für Mai 2020 geplant war, ausfallen. Das "2nd VLB Symposium on Acidic Fermentd Non-Alcoholic Beverages (SAFB)" wird als internationale digitale Tagung auf dem VLB Virtual Campus stattfinden.

Das Forschungsinstitut für Biotechnologie und Wasser verfügt über langjährige Erfahrungen auf dem Gebiet der Getränkeentwicklung auf Basis von Mischkulturen sowie bei der Entwicklung und Bereitstellung entsprechender Starterkulturen.
Das 3. VLB Symposium on Acidic Fermented Non-Alcoholic Beverages (SAFB) wird am 24. und 25. Mai 2022 als Präsenzveranstaltung unter den entsprechenden pandemiebedingten Vorschriften an der VLB Berlin stattfinden. Das Symposium wird in englischer Sprache abgehalten.

Join our virtual journey through the global brewing industry: The VLB International Brewing Web Conference aims to share brewing knowledge, establish new relationships and discuss best practices for the brewing industry. The event is addressed to technical managers, brewers and leading technical staff from production, filling/packaging and quality assurance of breweries.
Across two days (Wed-Thu), we will guide you through latest updates in brewing innovations, sustainable beer production and current trends in brewing. Since we address brewers from all over the world, each conference day will start at a different time in order to fit to the different time zones.
The conference language is English. Our innovative virtual event platform “VLB Virtual Campus” will allow you to listen to presentations, ask questions to speakers, network in our public video chat hub and visit the booths at the accompanying virtual exhibition.
