A ten-day full-time training course providing up-to-date knowledge in the field of pub and micro brewing. “Craft Brewing in Practice” covers the basics of beer brewing on a small-scale. The course addresses persons who have a professional interest in craft brewing. We strongly recommend some basic experience in brewing, e.g. as home brewer. The course language is English.
Course fee:
2400 € plus VAT. A non-refundable deposit of 500 € is due at the time of acceptance to the programme.

5-day training course on practical microbiology for the brewing and beverage industry
Course outline "Applied Microbiology"
“Applied Microbiology” is a one-week full-time training course providing up-to-date knowledge in the field of practical microbiology with relevance for the brewing and beverage industry. It covers the basics of microbiology, laboratory techniques, as well as microbial sampling in theory and practice. The course is conducted in VLB’s microbiological training laboratory and in our pilot brewery.

Attendance fee & accommodation
The fee for this 5-day course is € 2150 plus German VAT, including all course materials and lunch package.
Your accommodation in Berlin has to be booked separately. Depending on your requirements we can arrange hotel accommodation in different categories.
By sending a registration you agree to pay the non-refundable deposit of € 500 according to the invoice that will be made available within the next five days. The total balance is due one week before beginning the course. The fee may be paid by bank transfer, credit card or check.
Participants who are not allowed to travel due to force majeure (e.g. in the case of a pandemic) will be fully reimbursed by the VLB for the participation fee already paid.
The 3rd Africa Brewing Conference will be held online in September this year. Since the possibilities of mobility in Africa are still limited due to the pandemic, we consider this to be the best option for now.
Africa is a very important continent for the beer sector, for this reason VLB organizes a conference dedicated to the particularities of this continent, offering an extremely interesting program. The language is English, the conference takes place at "VLB Virtual Campus", our exclusive plattform for online events.
The Africa Brewing Conference will be accompanied by a virtual exhibition.
After 4 years, the VLB Ibero-American Symposium returns to Brazil, this time in Uberlandia (MG). Once again, the renowned presenters from the brewing industry, including raw material suppliers, will meet during two days to discuss with the participants current issues.
We invite you to participate in the conference that has become a “must” in the Latin American brewing sector. As part of the program, we will visit local breweries. The Symposium will have simultaneous English and Portuguese translation.

For companies located in Brazil, payment can be made in reais (R$) through the AHK-RJ (German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brazil). The registration amount will be daily adjusted according to the Euro-Real rate exchange + 12% Tax.

The "Full conference ticket" includes:
- Technical visit on Tuesday
- Welcome party on Wednesday evening
- Technical conference on Wednesday and Thursday
- Access to the APP with all information about the symposium
- Lunch and drinks on Wednesday and Thursday
- Simultaneous translation of all presentations in the technical program (Spanish – English)
Cancellation policy
For cancellations a service charge of 90 euros apply in general. Cancellations after 15 August 2019 are not subject to refund but can be transferred to a new name.
