In the course of 2023, VLB Berlin again welcomed some new members. 11 companies from Germany, Denmark, the USA and Cameroon joined the VLB network.

The 13th Iberoamerican VLB Symposium Brewing & Filling Technology of the VLB took place in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, from 4 to 6 September 2023.

VLB Managing Director Dr. Josef Fontaine was also invited to give a presentation about trends in the brewing industry at the 6th China International Brewing Conference (CIBC) 2023.

After Ethiopia and two online versions in 2021 and 2022, the 4th Africa Brewing Conference was held again this June as a face-to-face event in Douala, Cameroon.

After the final exams, 17 participants of this year's VLB Certified Brewmaster Course went on a big trip through Germany. In addition to malt houses and breweries, the group also visited companies from the supply industry.

On 21 July, 21 graduates received their certificates and thus successfully completed the Certified Brewmaster Course 2023.

A highlight of this year's VLB summer festival on 7 July 2023 was the opening of the new roof terrace. This was completed with the support of the Bitburger Brewery Group.

The Annual General Meeting 2023 of "Vereinigung ehem. VLBer - Brewers of Berlin" took place in the run-up to the VLB Summer Party on 7 July 2023 in Berlin.

In glorious summer weather, more than 500 relaxed guests from near and far celebrated at the VLB Summer Party on Friday 7 July 2023.
