On 27 June 2025, the time had come once again: 24 graduates received their certificates during a festive ceremony. Dr Josef Fontaine, in his last role as VLB Managing Director, praised the achievements of the participants and thanked everyone involved for their outstanding commitment.

The 2025 General Meeting of the Association of ehem. VLBer e.V. / Brewers of Berlin took place in Berlin on 4 July 2025

As announced on 20 May 2025, Dr Björn Klotzbücher took up his position as the new Managing Director of VLB Berlin on 1 July 2025.

On July 1, 2025, Martin Dubrowsky took over the position of International Sales Manager at the Versuchs- und Lehranstalt für Brauerei in Berlin (VLB). He succeeds Roberto Biurrun.

On behalf of the VLB team on-site, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all 130 participants who joined us from June 2-4, 2025, in Johannesburg for the 5th African Brewing Conference.

On 1 July 2025, Dr Björn Klotzbücher will succeed VLB Managing Director Dr Josef Fontaine.

The first course of the new Carlsberg-ISC-Brewmaster Academy has started on March 24, 2025, supported by VLB Berlin
