Die Vereinigung ehem. VLBer und die VLB Berlin laden am Freitag, dem 7. Juli 2023, von 16.00 bis 0.00 Uhr (letzter Einlass 22.00) zum beliebten Sommerfest auf dem Hof unseres Instituts an der Seestraße 13 in Berlin ein.
Das Motto in diesem Jahr lautet "140 Jahre VLB Berlin - 1883 bis 2023". Außerdem finden an diesem Tag bei uns begleitend die Mitgliederversammlung der Vereinigung ehem. VLBer e.V., die Vorstandssitzung der Gesellschaft für Geschichte des Brauwesens (GGB) e.V. sowie die offizielle Eröffnung unserer neuen "Bitburger Dachterrasse" statt.
Der Einlass zu dieser privaten Veranstaltung ist nur mit bestätigter Vorregistrierung möglich, eine "Abendkasse" für Spontan-Gäste gibt es nicht. Auch sind wir nicht in der Lage, ganz Berlin zu bewirten. Von daher bitten wir um Verständnis, dass wir den Teilnehmerkreis einschränken und die maximale Teilnehmerzahl auf ca. 500 limitieren müssen (die wir inzwischen fast erreicht haben, Stand 19.6.). Personen, die sich zu den folgenden Gruppen einordnen lassen, sind herzlich willkommen:

Wir behalten uns vor, im Zweifelsfall die Legitimität einer Anmeldung zu prüfen und die Anmeldung vorzeitig zu schließen. Da es sich um eine private Veranstaltung handelt, besteht kein Anspruch auf Teilnahme.
Auch in diesem Jahr erheben wir keinen festen Unkostenbeitrag, würden uns aber über einen freiwilligen finanziellen Obulus vor Ort zur Deckung unserer Kosten freuen (in bar oder per PayPal)!
Der VLB-Logistikfachkongress ist eine seit Mitte der 1990er-Jahre etablierte Fachtagung für die deutschsprachige Getränkewirtschaft. Er findet regelmäßig im Frühjahr an wechselnden Orten statt. Mit rund 170 Teilnehmern ist der Kongress marktführend in diesem Segment.
2024 wird der Logistikfachkongress (LoFaKo) vom 4. bis 6. März 2024 im Carlowitz Congresscenter in Chemnitz durchgeführt. Highlight wird die Besichtigung des Triathlon Batteriewerks Glauchau sein.

Practical course on beer filtration and stabilisation
Beer filtration and stabilisation in theory and practice are the focus of this five-day intensive course. The team of our Research Institute for Beer and Beverage Production, supported by external guest lecturers, will impart the latest knowledge on the technology, operation, accompanying quality assurance and optimisation of this important process step in the brewing process. The conceptual division of the course into lectures, laboratory practicals and practical trials in our modern Wilfried Rinke Brewery Technology Centre enables an effective transfer of knowledge with a strong practical orientation. A performance review with a certificate of participation concludes this advanced training. The event is held in English.
This training course is the second in our series "VLB-Praxiskurse", which is aimed at practitioners from breweries and the beverage industry. Currently, a course on microbiological working methods is on offer, other topics (brewhouse, fermentation, bottling) will follow. Due to the large proportion of practical exercises in the laboratory and in the brewery pilot plant, the number of participants in the course is limited. This allows for intensive supervision and maximum success of this advanced training. We would also like to point out that topic-specific basic knowledge of the brewing and filtration process is a prerequisite for all participants.
Course price per module: 3000 € per person, 10 % discount for VLB members, plus VAT if applicable / travel expenses if applicable.

After a very successful kick-off event in 2019 at the VLB and a continuation, the VLB Virtual Campus in spring 2021, we are again in the planning for 2022 with a face-to-face event for the 3rd SAFB here at the VLB Berlin to this ongoing topic.
Through a program of selected experts and representatives from science, industry and regulators, the international participants are to be brought up to date with the latest research and relevant aspects of sour fermented non-alcoholic beverages.
We look forward to being able to offer you (under the necessary hygiene rules) a 2-day event with informative lectures, an interesting trade exhibition, a sociable evening event, various drinks and above all an intensive exchange.
The number of participants is limited to 120 (depending on the time of registration; first come, first served!)
SAFB participants have the opportunity to receive a practical introduction to the application of flow cytometric methods for quality assurance in beverage production. This workshop, organized in cooperation with Sysmex Deutschland GmbH, will take place on the afternoon of Monday, May 23rd and is free of charge for participants of the SAFB.
