Join our virtual journey through the global brewing industry: The VLB International Brewing Web Conference aims to share brewing knowledge, establish new relationships and discuss best practices for the brewing industry. The event is addressed to technical managers, brewers and leading technical staff from production, filling/packaging and quality assurance of breweries.

Across two days (Wed-Thu), we will guide you through latest updates in brewing innovations, sustainable beer production and current trends in brewing. Since we address brewers from all over the world, each conference day will start at a different time in order to fit to the different time zones.

The conference language is English. Our innovative virtual event platform “VLB Virtual Campus” will allow you to listen to presentations, ask questions to speakers, network in our public video chat hub and visit the booths at the accompanying virtual exhibition.

5-day training course on practical microbiology for the brewing and beverage industry

Course outline "Applied Microbiology"

“Applied Microbiology”  is a one-week full-time training course providing up-to-date knowledge in the field of practical microbiology with relevance for the brewing and beverage industry. It covers the basics of microbiology, laboratory techniques, as well as microbial sampling in theory and practice.  The course is conducted in VLB’s microbiological training laboratory and in our pilot brewery.

Attendance fee & accommodation

The fee for this 5-day course is € 2150 plus German VAT, including all course materials and lunch package.
Your accommodation in Berlin has to be booked separately. Depending on your requirements we can arrange hotel accommodation in different categories.

By sending a registration you agree to pay the non-refundable deposit of € 500 according to the invoice that will be made available within the next five days. The total balance is due two weeks before beginning the course. The fee may be paid by bank transfer, credit card or check.

5-tägiger Kurs zu mikrobiologischen Anwendungen in der Brau- und Getränkeindustrie

Die Gebühr für diesen 5-tägigen Kurs beträgt 2150,- € zzgl. MwSt. und schließt alle Kursmaterialien und Mittagessen sowie Pausengetränke mit ein. VLB-Mitglieder erhalten 10 % Rabatt auf die Kursgebühr. Teilnehmern, die aufgrund von höherer Gewalt (z. B. im Falle einer Pandemie) nicht anreisen dürfen, wird die bereits gezahlte Teilnehmergebühr in vollem Umfang rückerstattet.

Mit dem Absenden einer Anmeldung erklären Sie sich damit einverstanden, eine Voranzahlung von 500,- € zu leisten, welche im Falle eines Rückstritts nicht erstattet werden kann. Der restliche Betrag ist eine Woche vor Beginn des Kurses zu zahlen. Die Gebühr kann per Überweisung oder Kreditkarte bezahlt werden.
Ihre Unterkunft in Berlin muss separat gebucht werden.

Die Vereinigung ehem. VLBer und die VLB Berlin laden am Freitag, dem 7. Juli 2023, von 16.00 bis 0.00 Uhr (letzter Einlass 22.00) zum beliebten Sommerfest auf dem Hof unseres Instituts an der Seestraße 13 in Berlin ein.

Das Motto in diesem Jahr lautet "140 Jahre VLB Berlin - 1883 bis 2023". Außerdem finden an diesem Tag bei uns begleitend die Mitgliederversammlung der Vereinigung ehem. VLBer e.V., die Vorstandssitzung der Gesellschaft für Geschichte des Brauwesens (GGB) e.V. sowie die offizielle Eröffnung unserer neuen "Bitburger Dachterrasse" statt.

Der Einlass zu dieser privaten Veranstaltung ist nur mit bestätigter Vorregistrierung möglich, eine "Abendkasse" für Spontan-Gäste gibt es nicht. Auch sind wir nicht in der Lage, ganz Berlin zu bewirten. Von daher bitten wir um Verständnis, dass wir den Teilnehmerkreis einschränken und die maximale Teilnehmerzahl auf ca. 500 limitieren müssen. Dieses Limit haben wir inzwischen erreicht (siehe oben).

Da es sich um eine private Veranstaltung handelt, besteht kein Anspruch auf Teilnahme.

Auch in diesem Jahr erheben wir keinen festen Unkostenbeitrag, würden uns aber über einen freiwilligen finanziellen Obulus vor Ort zur Deckung unserer Kosten freuen (in bar oder per PayPal)!

The 13th VLB Ibero-American Symposium on Brewing Technology and Packaging will be held on this occasion in Bogotá, Colombia, with the support of Grupo Bavaria (AB-Inbev) and Central Cervecera de Colombia (Grupo CCU and Grupo Postobon).
