Since its foundation in 1883 the VLB is also a brewing school and offers different programmes for education and further training in the field of beer brewing, also in English and Russian.

In co-operation with the Technische Universität Berlin regular study programmes for brewers are offered.
Although some lectures of the main-study period are held in English, advanced German skills are necessary.
